Enjoy your pizza!
Welcome to Hokitika and
welcome to "Fat Pipi Pizzas". It will soon be 10 years since Fat Pipi Pizzas opened in The Village Bakers premises at night. Our loyal following of locals were sending more and more of their visitors down to us for pizza. We had to move into a bigger building!
Together Mike and Pam moved their business a few doors down from village bakers.
Mike tore apart the building by hand right down to the ground in places. Then re-built it, recycling the native timber and creating the building you see today.
Mike fishes for Whitebait in the Hokitika River every season to keep up with demand for the most famous whitebait pizza.
Pam's flair for design is obvious in the garden, the landscaping, the interior with tapa panels. She brings Nana Helens (Pams' Mumsy) good eye and collectors style to the many interesting objects and displays which include historical bottles which Mike found beneath the building and a cannonball from the sand beneath the deck. Pams most famous talent of course the delicious Pizzas which keep the locals coming back.
